Mourning our Anna

It is with a heavy heart that I write this message to this board. Our dear, dear Anna has passed away today. I do not have the heart to close this board down, and she spoke often about wishing that the board was not so quiet. In memory and in honor of Anna, the board will remain up. This was her creation, and if she didn't close it when no one was posting, I will not dishonor her and close it now.

Anna, my heart is ripped from my chest with the news. You have taken a large part of my soul with you. May you rest in peace my dearest friend. I love you.

I am so sorry to learn of Anna's death. She and I go way back. She help me start a poultry board many years ago and came by frequently to post on it, too. She has always done her best to promote interest in poultry and to be there with helpful information and solutions to problems. I shall miss her.

just postin acknowlagement... cant seem to find words... but i hope she is checkin on my gomer for me. prolly get back to this when i have something mmm something to mmmmmmmm yeah ill just get back to this.

How horrible, to be killed by something that you love, but doing what she loved to do.

I'm sorry, I should have posted more. It's just been really hard to keep telling the specifics over and over.

The services are going to be held next Saturday. I have permission to post the address publicly to send your condolences to the family if you would like to.

I am leaving on Tuesday to be with the family and attend the funeral. I will be back on the 28th. I will post a nice report about how her memory was honored. Pray for the family, they are so devastated right now.

There will probably be a very indepth accounting / news story being sent out soon. Reporters are contacting the family, which is not quite ready to talk about it yet.

I spoke (in facebook messages) to Brandy tonight. She is preparing the Obituary for Anna and it will be in next week's papers. I will find links once it is printed. She also told me she has been working on the story for the newspaper and that should be coming out at about the same time. Things are getting a bit easier to accept for them now, which is good. I am relieved to see that the healing process has begun, if only a little bit.

Just a quick note, Deb. Your birthday did not go unnoticed I just knew it couldn't be a very happy one. A belated Happy Birthday anyway.

Thanks Jerry. The best birthday wishes I got this year were the ones that simply said I love you. Acknowledged me, but let it slip away unaccounted for. I can finally accept someone saying it to me. So thank you for giving it that time.

Noend, you were perfectly right to just let it be. I was so not in the mood for it to arrive just then. It might be tough on me for years to come even.

Well, this time you hit a home run.

I have been trying to log into all of the sites that Anna used, but The Chicken Palace was the last one I wanted to hit. This one is the hardest. I want to thank each and every one of you for all that you have done for her and the friendships you have shared with my sister. Thank you all for the help and the concern you have expressed to Donna(our Mom) and to me. Brandy

You're more than welcome Brandy. I'm sure going to miss her. I've known her for a long time and I can honestly say, a better person I've never met on line or in person. I wish I could have met her.
