That is the sound coming from the incubator. My little d'Uccles have been laying for a few weeks. I stuck some eggs from them and a few others in the incubator to check for hatchability before listing hatching eggs. Doing that is like an alcoholic taking one drink. LOL I set up the second incubator and have it filled. I also have about 10 silkie eggs to go into this first incubator after these finish hatching.
BTW some of my Silver laced Polish pullets have started laying. I gotta get them penned up so the eggs will be pure breeds, then of course I will need to incubate a batch of those. Then there will be the new line of Marans I am working on and and and.....well, you get the picture. I have fallen off the wagon AGAIN.

I think I had too much help incubating from a 5 yr old. She doesn't seem to be able to look through the windows without bumping the incubator. It looks like I am gonna end up with only three chicks this go round. Two Dark Cornish and a little d'Uccle Millie. I left the other eggs in the incubator, but I don't have much hope for any more chicks. I will candle them tonight and see if there is any life in any of them. The other batch may give a better turn out. So goes incubation. LOL
I will get a pic of the chicks later.
