GONE FISHIN!!

ok a little side note of info in regards to the importance of his hair to him.....
he as allways been a smooth talker to the ladys, never been shy.. he has deep sea blue eyes and the catapiller lashes to go with them. and he knows how to get that puppy dog look of cuteness, this a lone tends to get even the prettyest teen age girls to go all doey eyed and say things like " ooo he is sooo cute" "awww i wish i was 10 again" or the " dude gots his play on" (shivers at the mer thought of any girl ever beein good enough for my little boy) but any way. he got this small little idea oo say about 6ish that chicks dig long hair. (maybe cuz at the time all his uncles had long hair and always had cute girlfriends) but this idea stuck with him over the years... and this was assement was confermed for him last freedom fest on forth of july. when he sat quitely watchin the other boys hang out about the festaval.......i guess he was gatering data on a mans lvl of thinking thing or silant male bonding thing.... but eather way he was watching them.. and noticed that the short haird well cut church lookin boys hung by them selfs eyeballin the girls... and the long haired skaters or surfin boys didnt even have to look at the girls and they woud fallow giggleing and talkin or just hang around them. ( oo the teenage life lol dont we all miss it?)
im sure as i sat there as mommy just watchin my son study all this. i seen a little light bulb flicker...flicker buzz buzz. AWWWWWWWWW BLINK LIGHTS ON!! over my sons head. "mom them boys are geeks and them guys are really cool.....????.....???.... yup its the hair... has to be the hair......NEVER GONNA CUT MINE AGAIN!"
me= " aww why would you say they are geeks they might be very cool kids just in to differant stuffs?"
son= "nope they are geeks. look no girls like them and they are all by them self''
me= "this might be true but hey seem very happy. smileing and all"
son="trust me mom they only smile to hide the fact they are clearly geeks. im a boy i know boy stuffs. your just a girl you woundnt know any way"
OMG just been kicked off my only sons cool list. (dies a little inside as i relise he is growning up)
me="yeah well girls have coddies who needs them any way (rolls eye)" (the old mommy stand by of last dich efert to get a giggle and aproveal from her little apple of her eye baby boy) FAILED!!
this kinda confuese my son for a sec but he gets over it and looks very blankly at me.....
son="mom girls are SOO HOT.... look at that girl..(points to a cute 13yr old ish lookin little red haird girl across the field) she is pretty and has long red hair..."
and with that coment he hops to his feet and runs across the field to offer her a peace of his gum. then THEY head over to the snowcone shack TOGETHER (with out me ) with her little girlfriends tagin along behind them.

well............ mmmmm...... been almost a year and i still havent much to say about that one.....

so any way his hair means the world to him and here he is with a slimey worm stuck in it...
well of corse i help them get untangled and the warm out of his hair. but the damage was done.. see i failed to notice the 3 cute little girls across the lake giggleing at my sons show of UNCOOLNESS over a worm.
i cast the line back in to the waters and terry and i head over to the bench so mommy can clean the worm slime out of his hair with (god forbid a baby wipe)
son= "I HATE FISHING....... them girls a laughin at me..... i was spota get a big fish not a stinkin worm" tears well up. and i can help but melt a little at his destress. but what the hell can i do about it... lol

now if you recall miss rachel got knocked to the ground in all this excitment.. soo she is mader then a wet hen. and just as mean.. and my untimely retrurn to get HER POLE DONE only made it worst..and to think all cuz a of a stupid worm in terrys hair. soo the anger of the event is about to unleash on my poor destressed little man.

ok now this is just the coment miss rachel needs to get phiscal.... and so she tighens up her little fist. and yells '' BRING IT WUSSY BOY YOULL BE BLOWIN DIRT BOOGERS FOR A WEEK"
oo hell here we go. and like a bad japinese cartoon its on like donky kong. i drop the pole and grab the scruff hair and all of the son with one hand and with the other i got rachel by the back of the hoodie. they are yellin insolts and blames and swinging like otipuses on PCP. and im think LORD WHY O WHY do you only give mommys 2 arms....... i NEED 4.......
well a few scraches and bruses later (more on me then them) they have worn out their agretions and seem pooped enought to just stand there staring at each other. and i can findly let them loose.

meanwile i have her pole finshed. and i hand it to her and send her on her way. and just pat terry and asure him they girls prolly thought it was kinda cute some how.

and i begain to string his pole..."hold on hun ill get yout pole done now and youll have a big old fish in no time and youll be soo cool to them girls"

she rolls her eyes and goes back to missin with her pole. to "know it all to ask for help yet?" i ask....she just huffs "whatever"
now when did my little baby girl in pink bows and pig tales turn in to such a little B**** i have no clue. and if them eyes roll one more time im thinkin ill poke the dam things out with a stick....... but CONTOLE MOM KEEP IT COOL. WE BE FISHIN WE HAVEIN FUN.... even if it means THEIR LIFE we gonna have some dam fun to day. sigh.... handing the pole to terry and sending him on his way just as rachel comes back to me red faced and pissed off. HER POLE IS MESSED UP!! its all tangled. and now all of a suden sohpia is pissed to cuz some how she got her hook stuck in her NEW jeans. and cant get it out and its "POKEING ME (more alternitave 4 letter words) IT HURTS. MOM GET THE DARN STINKIN FRICKIN THING OFF ME ALREADY!! or im gonna cut if off and youll have to get me more jeans cuz tis is all YOUR FALT you had to do fishin didnt you?"
me= " go head cut it off. i have a old geezzer iron on patch at home will fix them puppys right up good as new" (shurg what she gonna do abut that one? hahah)

well this goes on for about 2 of the 5 hours we have out there at the lake. kid after kid after kid. fightin cryin and geting upset cuz they cant get the pole to cast or roll up or what ever. and worm after worm is sent in to the batle of life and death in hopes for a fish.
but after a wile things smooth out. i get cot up on all the knots tangles and half bit worms. and all 4 kids are in a line fishin with very little in the way of fighting wiht each other. findly I get to slow down a bit and just walk down the line checkin each kid one by one.
and the oddest thing pops in my head as im hookin worms and tossin lines..
"DAM IM A BLESSED WOMEN to have such cool kids. with all this drama they are still my hearts joy)

Yes, you are very blessed ma'dear. Enjoy every heart wrentching, gray hair adding, stomach churning moment. It all seems to come to an end all too fast. (They become teenagers/adults.)

wild cherry I've heard some fishing stories but yours beats them all!!!

Is it ok to copy yours and send email to a close friend who loves fishing with his kids and now his grandchildren? (i'm told he's going to have 20! soon) he would skin or bone the tiny fish in front of them and fries them in butter for their breakfast, lunch or dinner - most wonderful grandfather in NZ.

But i reckon you are the best mother your kids could ever have... they will have so much fun with having mother like you and they will have cherished and happy memories which will never be forgotten. (((hugs serina)))

ok sorry bout the delay guys as you all can guess they can keep me a bit on my toes. and well ........ yeah. ok. any way.....

lol sure treens you can send it to your friend if you like all tho idont know if he would find it much differant then his oun fishin storys with kids . lmao hahah

and yup im blessed. but i think with kids only their mother would love. cuz i cant see any other parant putin up with half the bull i do some times..... lol but in this case it was worth it........

and now for the final statements of the trip.

ok so we left off with 4 kids kickin it in a line..bla bla bla... no real fightng. bla bla bla... yap yap yap... blessed ect ect....

ok mmmm gosh .... now that i think of it i cant think of much more to say... no fish got cot so i didnt get to to the grandpa thing he gets to with the fishys in butter.
but they did get the hang of fishin in the end. the first one to really get a good cast out was the baby at 5 yr old lol. boy that girl can toss a line like no tomaorow so long and brother is not behind her iwth a worm in his hair.

rachel and terry buddyed up together to try getin a fat trout that was teaseing them just about 2 feet out and at the top of the waters... rachel even got in with the net detrumend to get the fish. but it just doged here and there. but stuck close by.

even my preteen got in to the groove of things. and rolled up her geans to step in a bit. infact we will be goin fishin again on saterday with 3 of her best girl friends to celabrait her 12th birthday. lol her "you had to pick fishin didnt you mom" has changed to "YOU HAVE TO PICK FISHING MOM" lol

and terry got over is worm shyness and was hookin his oun.. even hooked him self a cute little 11 yr old blond girl to sit on the side and fish with him. (rachel even was cool about not pickin on him wile she was there)

so nope no darn fishes. but we did seem to get some good old fastion family time and loveing back in to play for a bit...it was worth every bit of drama just to see them all so kick back. and smileing and well just wasting some time. and no rushin and fussin and stress. just kids bein kids at a fishin hole.

lifes way to bussy now days. we have desided at lest once a month we will be " GONE FISHIN"

needed to make a pitstop at the walmart for some worms power bate and a pink fishin pole for me...
(sence im such a good fissher and all ) and sun screen was on sale so i grabed a can of the kids "bullfrog spray on kind" it was getin tosty out side. warmer then normal...(truned out it got to 102 that day) so glad i got that stuffs

ok got that and on to the lake...

same bat time same bat chanle. got the licance and the day passes. and headed to our spot on the lake.

no need to string lines this time. major plus. so i sprayed all the kids down with out handy dandy sun spray.
quicky made note to my self. DO NOT USE SUN SPRAY on me... the crap ate the first layer of enamle off my freshly done nails.
odd you can sale that stuff as being safe for kids.
any way this week i foud some stuffs that is called "gotya" its seems you STINK to fishes. and this dusty stuffs is spota take the people stink off your hands so the fishes dont smell you on the bate and hook. mmm yeah right ok seems like a fun goodie for the kids to use.. so i had them all get their little hands wet and i proseded to sprinkle on the "crawdaddy sent" on each kid....
OMG!!!!!!!!! we stink??? bullchit.. ever smelled 4 kids on crawdaddy? THANK GOD we where out side that stuff is ripe i tell ya.
but any way they take their poles stick on power bate (was told it was the BOMB in fish bate. sure to get us a fish. and at 4.95 a jar it better) and a worm for wiggle power and they where off to the lake. detrumend to get a fish to day.

i just took my sweet time setin up our bench with the bates and snacks and such then got around to strining my pole and tossed it in.

didnt have much issues except a few tangled lines. for the most part...

that and the dumb ass teens that desided to make camp next to us and toss rocks in the water..
"DUDE CHILL ON THE ROCKS MAN your freakin out our fish" terry fidly got burnt at them. lol
but they where cool about it, and awhere all like "sorry man. just skipin rocks" and just went back to partyin.
lol i was kinda shocked terry would even say any thing lol.

well to our luck and maybe a kittens demise.. an other set of teens came by givein a way baby kittens. and these guys took one and ran off home with it.... PEACE findly.
