And no, the one laying out by itself isn't dead, just wouldnt stay with the others. There are 8 total, dont know how many males and females because she wont let me get very close to them.

Well, I got a call at lunch saying that the little one out by itself passed. It was doing fine this morning, but I guess looks can be deceiving. Thanks Anna! (Took ya long enough)

I will try to get some more pics tomorrow. They are starting to try to open their eyes now. We have lost 4 of them in these heat, its awful. I will try to update tomorrow.

Dustin - were are the pups? You need to take them inside where u can keep them cool!!! And you will need to start feeding them solids as soon as their eyes open and they can stand on their feet. But most important - keep them in a place where you can keep them cool!!!!
Also they need to get worm medication at this stage or they will be so infected that they cannot grow properly and you will have more problems.

They are bloodhounds. I will email you when i get home from school tonight. Believe me, I will have them on soft dog food as soon as I can!

Just catching up here, as I have been awol due to having a friend staying with me. The pups look precious, but I am sooooooooo sorry you are losing so much of the litter. How are they now? How many are left? Rather than the heat, could it be something genetic from either of the parents?
