my new chicken wirenetted run and gate.
the finished run and gate today
Tom helped with bigger bits of the netting yesterday morning by lifting - unrolling and pushing the ends into an opened wood strip on the coop and on the oold run's pole - i did the rest like lacing up = making the gate = pegging netting to ground.

this one shows the whole length of the long side. still a mess inside - even tho i cleared some today and raked stuff up from outside the run.

corner of run - pole into concrete with a hole and tied to tree at the top.

i am proud of this gate
it swings back shut if i leave it open - can hook it to the fence to keep it open too.
sorry its a bit "dry" but that's what i have done in two days. (tom was in bed with tummy bug today).

It's terrific Tree! What a wonderful job you did. I bet your 'ladies' are very pleased to be so secure.

it was supposed to be temporary
and i fear i lost Hanna - i called and called her this morning when feeding chooks. she knows her name. looked everywhere for her. i always look out for her eveyrtime i feed them to make sure she is okay. i feel sad at the moment for her as she was so easily frightened by anything. a real loner but i love her!
yes i am proud of our job!

So happy to hear you found Hanna safe and sound. Naughty girl for playing hide and seek. Do you think that is her spot to go broody?
