owl
My husband and I don't get very many weekends off together, so when we do we like to ride around and see new things(or get lost lol). We were starting home from one of our rides today and was on a rode that had logged land on both sides. We saw an owl. He was so neat. we stopped the car and walked over to him. We got right up to the base of the tree that he was on about 12 feet from the owl and all he did was look at us. it wasn't untill we were walking away that he flew off, but he didn't go far. We were lucky that we had our digital camera so I got a few pics.
sorry the pics aren't that great, but it was getting pretty dark.

Re: owl
They are exciting birds to see.
We have a great horned owl that regularly sits in the tree behind the house. No matter how many times we've seen it, it's still exciting.
