cydie is the dogs name. yeah we kept her. lol i mean she is much to cute to just send to a certain death at the shelter. and she is a real SWEETIE. yeah ok a little spoiled too.

BUTTTTTTTT ANYWAY.

ok so to day i desided we needed to go down to the groomers and get a petty cure and (cough female bekinie cut cough) got to keep them "goodies trimed up"

any way. i had gave her her bath last night but i dont cut my pets nailes and i havent the buzzers to clip the "goodie huhuh" area. here at home. SOO this morning OFF WE GO to petsmart. for the finle winter grooming.

she older so ill do the buzz lion cuts in spring but want to let her grow out her coat for fall and winter. BUT at the same time she still needs basics like toe nails and hinny trimings. i dont intend to give her another bath i tell spring un less its a major need.

soo any way we get there and LMAO man did i tell ya i love this dog??
well we get there. she walks in like a little lady. right by my side. no pullin jumping or nuting.

first pup we meet....... GREAT DANE. lmao and poor owner. of great dane. lol this dog was HUGE (duh yeah we know that) but he was pullin his master around all over the store. wth slippery tile floors this was quite a site. LMAO. you could see the frustration in the owners eyes. "trying " to be the good doggy owner. "murffy.... murffy. down boy.... down boy. MURFFY I SAID DOWN BOY!!." small forced smile of stress and enbarasment to the other shopers" lmao

2nd pup we run in to little chewawa. (sp) senour was his name. cute little bugger. every little toothy just sparkled in his ferochus quivering ankle biteing smile. he was not "happy" to be there.

3 pup....... mm no clue what he was or what his name was. he was much to bissy "markin" the store as his own. lol.

4 pup little cute as a button black lab puppy. a good boy for the most part. a little spooked at the new place. but with compainy like that could you blame him?

and then miss cydie. just takein all this in. watchin the crazyness around her. she layed down and looked up at me like to say " UNCIVILISED HOLAGENS MOM" and let out a little sigh like to say " i dont belong in such company."

ok so we are standing there . im lookin around not sure where the grooming department is. and leting every one oooo and awww over cydie "what a pretty dog" ' oo she is so good" " is she a chow. can we pet her is she mean? " bla bla bla yap yap yap.

mean wile the owner of the great dane makes it to the check out. now has the dogs leash wraped several times around her wrist. and seemingly for the most part has 'murffy" under controle.

and that is when mr kitty comes in with his owner. kitty is a BIG FAT orange taby. kinda like my moose but has longer fur and he is on a harnis and leash not in a box.

murffy sees kitty. and literaly BOLTS at the cat and owner of said cat. his poor owner is first drug to her knees with the force and then soon on her belly SREAMING AT MUFFY ....... NOOOOO NOOOOO NOOOOO DOWN BOY NOOO! the slippery floor has both dog and owner in belly rolls and the dog i think grew 4 more legs in that time cuz he was sliping and slideing about trying to pull to the cat.
mr kitty. FREAKS OUT. and the owner trys to back back out the door. but loses hold of the cat. but still has the leash. this cat BUZZ SAWS ALL OVER HIS POOR OWNER. i mean really riped her up big time. in the end the cat had her all tangled up in the leash and had a death grip on the inside of her thigh. yeah she was bleeding pretty good. all this is goin on only but maybe 6 ft a way from cydie and i. im thinkin oo hell we gonna have a hell of a fight here. but cydie just stood up and tucked in behind me with her nose and eyes peeking out between my legs. lmao .

well things findly calmed down. the cat owner and dane owner had a few mmmmm well shall we say ended with a new agreement. of each othres stupidty? and the dane left the kitty whent in for a new mouse toy.

any way so we go in to get our grooming done. lol at first the groomer seemed your tipical werry of chow breed groomer. askin if she needed a muzzle or bla bla bla. her shots up to date bla bla bla. never asked the other dog owners about there dogs being muzzled or shots. JUST MY CYDIE. piff.

so in she goes and out she comes. all cleaned up with a big red bow on her head. and the groomer just RAVEING about how well behaved she is and how sweet she was and how easy to groom she was. and how shocked she was to have such a mild chow.

YEAH SHES A GOOD GIRL i halla BRAGING RIGHTS. MY PUPPY IS A GOOD GIRL. heheheh.

I glad your dog is so good for you. I can just see me trying to take one of these big lugs anywhere. Maybe the cocker spaniel, but for sure not the Great Pyrenees. LOL

lmao yeah honestly i know people LOVE their pet. but i think yesterday was not a good time for that dane owner to take her dog out of the house. infact i have to wonder why she even would knowing she coudl not controle the animal? was it only to show off ? as if to say "lookie me i got a great dane? seem moor and more people here in cali for sure seem to get pets for a statement or static symble more then for the love and comany or even for working or protection.

i had a great dane growing up he was a trough back to the mastiff side of the breed. mother got him for 50 bucks from the owners. cus he was not show materal. BIG HUGE MUSLE DOG. their legs grow first ya know. lol got a few funy storys about merlin i might share one day.

but basicly what it boles down to is them breeds are CLEARLY much to large and powerful for the average person to phyicly control. allthough oddly the great dane is a very fragle breed as well. and are prone to leg brakes and masave joint injorys if not cared for properly. this is not a breed one tosses out side in a dog house or in a shed. they need soft sleepin areas and mantance.

but any way musleing your dane or tryin to over power it physicly is not good for the person or the dog its self. they are one dog you must voice comand. they must obay your by hand snignals or words. never NEVER by physical force.

lmao merlain was voice trained. he lissoned well for the most part. but he had his days LMAO like the time he riped the fence down that seperated out yard form the police department next door. lmao
cheff then gave us a TOW CHAIN for a callor for the him. so he was tyed to the piss elm tree in the back. as the fence was repaird. LMAO HE RIPED THE TREE OUT lmao .

then the dobbie down the road was in heat. he whent through the frount plate glass window AND X-MASS TREE ot get to her. we ended up paying puppy suport. and vet bills for the birth of HIS PUPS lol dobbie had to have a c section for the pups where to big for her.

we learned NOT to tie the little red rider flyer to him and say "mush" LMSO lest say took us a good week to pick the assfalt out of our asses for that one. LMAO.

or then his "running tab' at the CERCAL K next door for beef juerky. would just setp over the fence walk in the store put his paws on the counter and they would just hand him a beefjerky he would leave and step back over our fence.

or even the time he took down a hells angel member on his harly. LMAO now that was skarry. but worked out well. in the end that is.

the biker would race his harly up and down our road. many times a day. and merlin woudl just fome at the mount chaseing up and down the gate line. after this bike. well one day mom had the fence open as she washed the car when the biker came raceing by. merlin took chace and hit him Tbone. reall MESSED UP HIS BIKE BAD and got the biker a few good scraps and brueses. poor merlin ran to the field across the way KNEW HE WAS IN BIG BIG TRUBLE. lmao . but the biker was not upset at all. said the gang coudl fix the bike. but asked if he could buy merlin off of us. seems he would race up the road JUST TO SEE the dog run. he feel in love with him and really wanted him. but mom woudl nto sell. cuz he was family to us kids. lol well yeah im rambleing agian but he was a awsome dog

Great stories WC. It amazes me that people who do not desensitize their dogs (big dogs no less) think that they can just waltz into a store with other animals about and expect to get out unscathed. Live and learn. But what a sight that had to have been!

not really treenz im not a dog person at all for that matter. i could take them or leave them. most see puppys as cute little critters with stinky puppy breath and cuddly little balls of fluff and energy. I on the other had see them as a chore and work and poo piles in my carpit to scrub. and something els to train and jsut plain truble. lol.... but cydie some how really just moved right in to my heart some how. no clue really. as i was very VERY leary of her and really didnt trust her for a LONG TIME. she just seemed to always look at me with them eyes and face as if to say" what is your prob? why dont you trust me? i havent done any worng" lol
