My going on 'leave' slip...

Just letting you know that if I am not around much in the near future, it is because I am going in for emergency laser surgery on both my eyes tomorrow morning. I went in for a routine exam for my contacts and they found a hole just on the fringes of my peripheral vison on both of them.

Will keep you all informed as I can, when I can.

Well, no surgery after all. The surgeon feels I have had these holes for quite some time and that if I am not experiencing floaters or light flashes, that we should leave well enough alone, as surgery will only create more problems further down the line.

I have picked out my new glasses (bi-focals! eeek! welcome to old age?). They should be here in a week or so.

All is well, I live to see yet another day.
